What to understand first
- The current Queensland Revenue Office guidance lists $30,000 for eligible contracts signed from 20 November 2023. Earlier eligible contracts receive $15,000.
- The total home and land value must be less than $750,000, including contract variations.
- Applicant, previous ownership, occupancy and eligible transaction rules apply. The grant supports eligible new homes, not established homes.

Planning your next step in Brisbane
When comparing Brisbane house and land options, ask for the complete cost picture. Review the land price, building contract, site works and any changes you plan to make. A grant should be one part of your preparation.
Bring these questions to your conversation
- Which support is relevant to my circumstances?
- What is the complete budget, including costs outside the home price?
- When would any assistance become available?
- What needs to be confirmed before I commit to land or a building contract?
Your questions
Is Queensland’s grant separate from national deposit assistance?
Yes. Queensland’s grant and national home guarantee support have different eligibility tests. Qualification for one does not decide qualification for the other.
Can I assume every advertised package qualifies?
No. The total value and the transaction must meet the grant rules. Have the relevant professionals confirm the details before committing.
General information only. This is not a loan offer or an eligibility assessment. Confirm the latest rules with the government source and the relevant finance professional. Land2Handover is not a government agency or a participating lender.
