What to understand first

  • RevenueSA offers up to $15,000 to eligible applicants buying or building a new residential home.
  • Contracts entered into from 6 June 2024 have no property value cap for the grant. Earlier contracts follow different rules.
  • Previous ownership, applicant and residence requirements apply. Each applicant generally must occupy the home for six continuous months, starting within 12 months of completion.

Planning your next step in Adelaide

For an Adelaide build, start with the location, land requirements and a complete project budget. Ask how the chosen home design fits the block and which items are included in the building proposal.

Bring these questions to your conversation

  • Which support is relevant to my circumstances?
  • What is the complete budget, including costs outside the home price?
  • When would any assistance become available?
  • What needs to be confirmed before I commit to land or a building contract?

Your questions

Can I claim the grant just for vacant land?

Not for land alone. An eligible building transaction may qualify once the relevant requirements are met.

Can stamp duty relief also be available?

Eligible first home buyers may qualify for separate stamp duty relief. It requires its own eligibility check.
